We accept cash, checks and major credit cards. GastroCare of El Paso (GCEL) and its affiliates collect co-payments at the time of service. Additional payment may be required based on your insurance plan.

OFFICE VISITS TO GASTROCARE OF EL PASO

There are two bills you can expect to receive following an appointment at GastroCare of El Paso:

1. Physician Fee: This fee is administered by GastroCare of El Paso and pays the physician for his/her services.
2. Lab Fee: Lab tests are not covered under a physician fee and if you require tests, additional bills will be issued by a laboratory or radiologist.

If your insurance company requires precertification for our gastroenterology services, then we promise to make every effort to meet those certifications. With that said, we cannot guarantee payment.

PROCEDURE VISIT TO GASTROCARE OF EL PASO

If you undergo a procedure at Gastrocare of El Paso, then you will receive the following bills:

• Physician Fee
• Facility Fee
• Pathology Fee
• Anesthesia Fee

Understanding Your Insurance Benefits

There are multiple insurance plans and benefits, and it’s your responsibility to understand yours. After your procedure, you will be sent an Explanation of Benefits for your insurance company. It will inform you of how your bill was paid and if you are personally responsible for any payment.

Amounts you are, by law, responsible to pay:

• Deductibles
• Co-insurance
• Co-payments
• Non-covered services

GastroCare of El Paso Promise to Work with Your Insurance Plan

As a gastroenterology center in El Paso, we certainly understand the frustrations that accompany insurance coverage. We promise to proactively work with your insurance company and will even submit primary, secondary, and tertiary claims on your behalf. It is important to note that we can only process a claim if you have provided the necessary information BEFORE your visit. If this information is given to us after your visit, then you are responsible for payment.

Co-payments will be collected at the time services are rendered; however, depending on your insurance plan, you may be responsible for later, additional payment.

Important Information for GastroCare of El Paso Patients:

• Gastrocare of El Paso accepts cash, checks, and major credit cards.
• If you require a rescheduling, be sure to do so 48 hours in advance.
• If you miss your appointment, you will be changed a $25.00 fee.
• If a check is returned, there will be a $30.00 fee.
• If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule for another date and time.
